  2. Put the sweet potato paste in a saucepan over low heat and add the sugar and cinnamon, stirring constantly so that it does not stick. Maintain the heat for half an hour and set aside. Put the dough in the refrigerator while we make the rest of the preparations.

● A glass of extra virgin olive oil

● A glass of sweet anise

● 50 grams of sugar

● About 1 kilo of flour or the flour that admits

Preparation of the dough

  1. Put the anise and the oil in a saucepan on the fire and leave to heat without boiling.

  2. Remove from the heat and add the sugar and the flour little by little, until you obtain a homogeneous consistency allowing correct kneading.

Step 3: Making the pastisos

  1. Place the dough on a sheet of parchment paper and knead with a rolling pin to give it a rounded shape.

  2. Press the dough with a glass to make small circles of dough. Remove excess dough.

  3. Place a tablespoon of sweet potato jam in the center of the dough circle.

  4. Fold the dough over itself as if it were a dumpling

  5. Place the cakes on the pre-greased baking sheet and put them in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes at 200 degrees.
